If you are on the move or simply like listening to stuff, you can tap into the audio version below:
What does authority mean in human design?
.
It’s certainly not about what someone else tells you to do. No one has authority over you other than yourself.
Your human design authority is here to support you in making decisions – like an inner GPS that is unique to you. Decisions can be anything from what to have for breakfast to what job to accept and who to be in a relationship with.
Despite what we have been taught, we are intended to make decisions by listening to our bodies instead of our heads. Your human design authority tells you exactly where in your body to tune into so you can make the best decisions for you.
Bottom line: Your decisions are an embodied experience. They are not “logical” because logic lives only in your mind.
.
If you have sacral authority, you are either a generator or manifesting generator. Your authority is closely linked to your strategy, which is to respond.
In a nutshell, you are here to say “yes” to what excites you and “no” to what does not. This is your way of responding to the opportunities that life brings your way. It really is that simple.
Remember that “I don’t know” or a lack of internal sensation also means “no” or at best “not now”. You are looking for that unmistakable “hell yes” response.
The embodied response of your sacral is instant. You can build trust in the power of sacral decision making by beginning with small, seemingly inconsequential decisions such as what to eat, wear or watch. Seeing the results of trusting this embodied guidance over time gives you the confidence to make all your decisions by following your sacral sensations (i.e. your gut feeling).
The sacral cannot handle open ended queries but is designed to respond to binary (“yes or no” / “this or that”) questions. Your sacral will guide you towards the next right step, not the grand masterplan of your life. Be prepared to pivot if something no longer excites you, especially if you are a manifesting generator.
